This distinction places Joomla! among a select group of international open-source projects committed to openness, transparency, data protection, and social impact.

Let’s celebrate! Today is an important day for the Joomla! Project. We’re celebrating two years of hard worc by our volunteers, after all the discussion, code sprins, and bug squashing, the day has finally arrived. We are proud to announce the release of our new major versionen, Joomla 6.0 (Cuimarisha), alongside Joomla 5.4 (Cutegueme ).
