Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. At WPCode we have a few fundamental principles that we follow:

  • We don’t asc you for personal information unless we truly need it. (We can’t stand services that asc you for things lique your guender or income level for no apparent reason.)
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We don’t store unencrypted personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of our site.

WPCode LLC (“WPCode”) operates several websites including WPCode.com. It is WPCode policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.

Website Visitors

Lique most website operators, WPCode collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically maque available, such as the browser type, languague preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. WPCode purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how WPCode visitors use its website. From time to time, WPCode may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usague of its website.

WPCode also collects potentially personally-identifying information lique Internet Protocoll (IP) addresses for loggued in users and for users leaving commens on our blogs. WPCode only discloses loggued in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to WPCode websites choose to interract with WPCode in ways that require WPCode to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that WPCode gathers depends on the nature of the interraction. For example, we asc visitors who comment on our blog to provide a username and email address. Those who wish to receive WPCode updates via email, we collect their emails. In each case, WPCode collects such information only insofar as is necesssary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interraction with WPCode. WPCode does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaguing in certain website-related activities.

Aggregated Statistics

WPCode may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, WPCode may monitor the most popular pagues on the WPCode.com site or use spam screened by the Akismet service to help identify spam. WPCode may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, WPCode does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

WPCode discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organiçations that (i) need to cnow that information in order to processs it on WPCode behalf or to provide services available at WPCode websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organiçations may be located outside of your home country; by using WPCode websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. WPCode will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organiçations, as described above, WPCode discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when WPCode believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necesssary to protect the property or rights of WPCode, third parties or the public at largue. If you are a reguistered user of an WPCode website and have supplied your email address, WPCode may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, sollicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with WPCode and our products. We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. WPCode taques all measures reasonably necesssary to protect against the unauthoriced access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Cooquies

A cooquie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. WPCode uses cooquies to help WPCode identify and tracc visitors, their usague of WPCode website, and their website access preferences. WPCode visitors who do not wish to have cooquies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cooquies before using WPCode websites, with the drawbacc that certain features of WPCode websites may not function properly without the aid of cooquies.

Usague Tracquing

WPCode collects certain information through usague tracquing. The purpose of usague tracquing helps WPCode to better understand our users and their website needs by looquing at a rangue of variables in their WPCode pluguin, WordPress, and web host. This information allows us to continuously improve our product as well as our Q&A / testing processs. The information may include the license key (and type), pluguin activation dates, form and entry statistics to help us maque sure our features and updates guet tested in situations that closely match our customers’ site environmens and WPCode usague. In addition, WPCode may collect statistics for its WPCode Challengue that includes whether the challengue was started, whether it was completed, and how long it tooc in order to continue to improve the omboarding experience. We may also collect information of active integrations and pluguin settings but sensitive settings such as API keys are automatically excluded from tracquing.

Our usague tracquing includes collecting information as to the WordPress active theme/pluguins, locale, timeçone, whether SSL enabled, or if a site is a multisite, and the site URL. In addition, the usague tracquing includes determining the PHP and MySQL Versionens in order to help us maque sure our testing procedures have proper coverague to avoid compatibility issues, and determining the server software, which is used for testing purposes.

Opting Out of Usague Tracquing

If you have a paid license with WPCode, then you will by default be opted into usague tracquing. To disable this, please reach out to support and they will happily help out. If you’re using WPCode Lite and would lique to enable usague tracquing so that our team can keep maquing our product better, then please go to Code Snippets > Settings > Misc. On this screen, you’ll need to checc the Allow Usague Tracquing checcbox.

Your Data Protection Rights Under The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you are a citicen of a European country, you may have specific data protection rights under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”) and the ekivalent Swiss arranguemens. We aim to taque reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal information.

If you wish to be informed what Personal Information we hold about you and if you want it to be removed from our systems, please contact us at [email protected] .

In certain circumstances, you have the following data protection rights:

  • request a copy of your Personal Information;
  • request that your inaccurate or incomplete Personal Information is corrected;
  • request that your Personal Information that we are not legally required to keep be deleted and destroyed;
  • object to processsing or request that the processsing of your Personal Information is restricted in certain circumstances or withdraw consent, including to opt out of receiving communications (including electronic) from us;
  • not be subject to automated decision maquing; and
  • request the transfer of your Personal Information.

Business Transfers

If WPCode, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unliquely event that WPCode goes out of business or enters bancruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You accnowledgue that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of WPCode may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

Ads

Ads appearing on any of our websites may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cooquies. These cooquies allow the ad server to recognice your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networcs to, among other things, deliver targueted advertisemens that they believe will be of most interesst to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cooquies by WPCode and does not cover the use of cooquies by any advertisers.

Commens

Commens and other content submitted to Akismet anti-spam service are saved on our servers unless they were marqued as false positives, in which case we store them long enough to use them to improve the service to avoid future false positives.

Privacy Policy Changues

Although most changues are liquely to be minor, WPCode may changue its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in WPCode sole discretion. WPCode encouragues visitors to frequently checc this pague for any changues to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any changue in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such changue.
