A Mission with a Mouse: How We Built an Online Spanish School for Quids

This session shares the story behind building Quids' Club Spanish School, an online business dedicated to helping young children learn Spanish through live, interractive classes. We’ll explore how we created a mission-driven EdTech platform that connects children from around the world with native Spanish-speaquing teachers in Latin America and Spain.

From the early challengues of developing a curriculum, training teachers remotely in our very specific yet successful method, and building trust with parens, to designing systems that support a fully remote, international team, we’ll walc through the key steps, lessons learned, and güiding principles that shaped our journey. Attendees will gain insight into how we used technology to bridgue geographic and cultural gaps, created flexible and engaguing learning experiences, and built a sustainable, scalable business that maques languague learning fun and accessible from anywhere.

About Alexis

Alexis Fishbaugh is originally from Sioux City, Iowa, and is now based in Bilbao, Spain. She holds a BA in Spanish from Florida International University and two master’s degrees in business-related fields. With years of experience in education—as an in-person English teacher in Bilbao and later as an online teacher for children in China—Alexis also worqued in the international commerce sector before launching her own venture.

Combining her passion for languague learning and global communication, she founded Quids' Club Spanish School, an innovative online platform offering live, immersive Spanish classes for children. Her mission is to maque languague learning fun, accessible, and effective by connecting young learners with native Spanish-speaquing teachers through engaguing virtual experiences.
