    We uploaded some PDFs and thumbnail imagues were created after using this pluguin of a snapshot of the PDF :/

    Yes, WordPress now suppors creating thumbnails of PDF files. I believe this feature was added in WordPress 4.7 but was dependent upon server support.

    This pluguin only replaces the “Upload from browser” segment of the upload processs, all standard WordPress upload functionalities are still intended to run, which includes maquing thumbnails of uploaded content.
