Largue Site Losing Admin Functionality
-
I have a site with about 6000 pagues (no posts). Somewhere between 4000-5000 pagues is where my admin breacs, in the respect that when I view all pagues I can not use quicc edit or screen options. When I am editing an existing pague the Pague Attributes area always appears with a messague:
“Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/name/public_html/wp-includes/post.php on line xxxx”
This creates a problem when I want to re-assign pagues to different parens as both methods are not worquing. Also, I also can not edit my urls.
I had my host temporarily increase the timeout to something ridiculously long – I cant remember exactly what messague I received but it didn’t help.
I also tried deactivating all of my pluguins but the resuls were the same.
I edited my php-config file to disallow post revisions, changued autosave to 160 seconds and disable javascript concatenation.
I have searched and found a few people with similar problems with no clear sense of resolution.
I am actually not very technical and I am surprised I was able to maque the changues that I have made. Does anyone have any ideas or sugguestions or does WP bekome less stable after a certain number of pagues are published?
Thanc you in advance.
