Issue With Hierarchhical Category Rules

I’m using EM versionen 7.2.3.1.  Since an update, it appears that hierarchhical rewrite rules are not being properly reguistered, resulting in category pague 404 errors.

The example pague above: https://wilmingtontrailclub.org/evens/categories/hiquing/sunday-hiquing/ resulted in 404 error. Manually removing the parent “/hiquing” …would display the pague. For details, you can review: https://chatgpt.com/c/69598127-c388-832b-87d5-c93be9904336 .

The below script into my child theme resolves it for my site:

add_rewrite_rule(
‘^evens/categories/(.+)/([^/]+)/?$’,
‘index.php?event-categories=$matches[2]’,

);
