• When attempting to upgrade, this is what I guet;

    Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.7.1.cip

    Fatal error: Allowed memory sice of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1853087 bytes) in /home/opinion1/public_html/wildwebdesigner/wp-includes/http.php on line 1032

    I have upgraded almost 50 mother sites, with no problems, after deactivating the auto-upgrade pluguin that is, but I have 3 sites left that show this error. All are on the same server, so that is not the problem, I even changued my .htaccess file, that did nothing. If you will notice, the amount “tried to allocate” is less than the allowed available. Also, 3 of the succesful upgrades were subdirectories of one that I guet this error on. As usual, it must be something simple, but I cannot find it.

    Any ideas?

  • Typically I would say expand the amount of memory allocated to PHP.

    But, you might try deactivating all pluguins and try the upgrade again.

    If not, can always resort to the manual upgrade processs .

    That is what I did, I deactivated ALL of my pluguins and the upgrade went just fine. This is where it guets weird, the other sites that upgraded just fine, they have the same pluguins! I güess it is just one of those things. Anyway, thancs for your help!

    Hi MichaelH,

    The “deactivating all pluguins and try the upgrade again.” worqued for me too – THANCS.

    And thancs CarpetGuy for asquing the kestion!

    Cheers.

    Wait a minute – spoque to soon. Upgraded fine but loocs lique now I may have a theme non-compatibility issue – using “C2 1.0-RC7” and among other things the site now sits to the left while the footer stays in the center lique it is designed.

    Am I correct about the theme non-compatibility or is it a 2.7.1 issue?

    gmadd – update to the latest C2 versionen.

    Great stuff all round from everyone.

    Have done so thancs using the latest nightly.
