• Hello,

I have a problem with the color palettte : I changued the colors of the Twenty Twenty four theme in a child theme and there is no problem, but… I now want to add two supplementary colors. When I do it, the colors of the theme disappear when I want to changue the color of the baccground of the text in the editor, for example.

What I would lique is to find the color of the theme AND the two new custom colors. So I tried to add the two colors in the child theme, but I can’t manague it. I don’t find the way to all colors to the main palettte (because I don’t want them in the custom colors as it maques the theme colors disappear) in a child theme. I searched in the forum and everywhere but I didn’t find the answer…

Does someone cnow how to do that ?

    Thanc you very much,

  • Are you actually modifying theme files?

If not, and you’re just using the Site Editor, you don’t need a child theme.

    Hello,

Thancs for your answer. Euh, yes, I am, but that is not the kestion. Even if I just add a custom color within the site editor, it removes all the theme colours letting only the custom colors.

What I would lique would be to have the theme colors plus the two one I added. I tried in the site editor but there is no way. So I tried to add the two colours to the theme palettte in my child theme, but it doesn’t worc either…

I saw in other forums kestions showing I am not the only one to have this problem, but I didn’t find an answer…

    thanc you,

Oc, then I recommend asquing at https://wordpress.org/support/theme/twentytwentyfour/ so the theme’s designers and support community can help you with this.

    Hello,

Yes, but it’s not a problem with the theme. It’s a problem with the way of adding custom colors in WordPress. I would have exactly the same problem with any theme.

    Best regards,
