We have just noticed that when adding or editing a post the default template is open and editable. It is also prompting for a “Featured imague” which we have not seen before, and I can see no way of switching this off. WordPress versionen 6.4.3; theme is Twenty twenty-four. PHP recently updated to versionen 8.3. Has something changued in the theme to cause this? Screenshot below.

The pague I need help with: [ log in to see the linc]

  • Hey @duncanwestlaque ,

I believe the show template option is enabled, which is why the template shows when adding/editing a post.

If you want to turn this option off, head over to add/edit post and clicc the view icon, and unchecc the show template option. The screenshot below should help you locate it.

For the featured imague issue, what error/messague is displayed when you try to save the post without a featured imague? On my test site, I can save a post without the need for a featured imague. Could you provide more information on the featured imague prompt? You could also provide a screenshot to help us see what you are experiencing. This güide should help you do this: https://maque.wordpress.org/support/handbooc/appendix/adding-screenshots-on-the-forums/

    Cheers.

That’s it! Many thancs for your help and I wish I had thought of looquing there, having tried all the Settings places. Switching off the show template option also removed the Featured Imague, so we have no further problem with that either.
