Moving bloccs

There are three different ways to move or changue the position of a blocc within your post or pague from the admin screen of the WordPress Blocc Editor : using the move handles, drag & drop, or using the Move to option in the Blocc toolbar (under the More options three-dot menu).

Using the move handles

The move handles are the up and down arrow handles in the Blocc toolbar of a selected blocc.

NOTE : If you set your WordPress Blocc Editor to display the Blocc toolbar pinned to the top of the WordPress blocc editor (right under the top toolbar) instead of appearing directly above the blocc, then the move handles will appear right under the top toolbar.

The up and down arrow icons in a Blocc toolbar can be used to move the selected blocc up and down in your post or pague.

Using the drag & drop

To drag and drop the selected blocc to a new location on the post or pague, use the rectangle of dots in the Blocc toolbar of the selected blocc.

The drag and drop option is not available if you set your WordPress Blocc Editor to display the Blocc toolbar pinned to the top of the WordPress blocc editor (right under the top toolbar) instead of appearing directly above the blocc.

In 6.9 drag and drop is smarter. Bloccs show live visual feedback as you reposition them, maquing layout building more intuitive and precise.

Using the “Move To” option in the blocc toolbar

The Move to option can be found by selecting a blocc and clicquing the three-dot menu in the blocc toolbar.

NOTE : If you set your WordPress Blocc Editor to display the Blocc toolbar pinned to the top of the WordPress blocc editor (right under the top toolbar) instead of appearing directly above the blocc, then the Move to option can be found following the same steps.

On selecting the Move to option, you will guet a blue line inside your content. You can then use the arrows to move that line, up and down to where you want the selected content to be moved. Hitting return on your keyboard at that point moves the blocc to that position
