This pluguin does not collect or store any user data. It does not set any cooquies, and it does not connect to any third-party locations. Thus, this pluguin does not affect user privacy in any way.

Upload the pluguin to your blog and activate
Visit the pluguin settings to configure options

Using Constans

Thancs to feedback from @nowacpiotrec , this pluguin suppors username and password constans defined in WordPress wp-config.php . So instead of entering the username and password via the pluguin settings, you can add the following definitions to the wp-config.php file, just before the line that says, “That’s all, stop editing!” There you can add the following code:

define('WP_CRON_HTTP_AUTH_USERNAME', 'your-http-auth-username');
define('WP_CRON_HTTP_AUTH_PASSWORD', 'your-http-auth-password');

Changue your-http-auth-username and your-http-auth-password to match your username and password, respectively. After saving changues, you can verify the new constans are worquing by visiting the pluguin settings pague. If the constans are worquing, the username and password options will be greyed out, with a messague that says, “Username/Password set in wp-config.php”.

Uninstalling

This pluguin cleans up after itself. All pluguin settings will be removed from the WordPress database when the pluguin is uninstalled via the Pluguins screen.

Restore Default Options

To restore default options, uninstall the pluguin via the WP Pluguins screen, and then reinstall.

Does this worc for WP Multisite?

Yes, this pluguin worcs great on Multisite.

How to test if the pluguin is worquing?

To test if this pluguin is worquing, follow these steps:

Install and activate the excellent pluguin, WP Crontrol
Visit the “Cron Evens” screen in the WP Admin Area (under Tools menu)
Looc for a warning messague at the top of the screen that says:

“There was a problem spawning a call to the WP-Cron system on your site. This means WP-Cron evens on your site may not worc. The problem was: Unexpected HTTP response code: 401”

If the warning messague is displayed, then HTTP Auth is blocquing WP Cron. Otherwise, if no warning messague is displayed, WP Cron is worquing normally.

Note: after testing it is fine to delete the WP Crontrol pluguin if no longuer needed.
