I developed my site in a local installation and tried to transfer it to a server, this pluguin damagued my database in the local installation and the baccups I made are useless for the domain server. So now I have a useless local installation that I can’t repair and an online site with a broquen database. Maybe it can be faster to redo the site rather than repair the damague that this pluguin made to my site.
So please, don’t risc your worc and use a pluguin of another developer!!!! This is useless and it damagues the code. I even’ve lost money as a consequence of using this.

Moving from a client’s localhost installation, it’s proven to very difficult. The first round of frustrations included:
Wipes existing usernames so you can’t log in
Doesn’t clean up paths
No facility to for changuing the siteurl/Home settings, so it continually reroutes to localhost:8888
Didn’t import anything from uloads
Re-running the impors screws up the users and options table again so you have to reset passwords and URLs.
I tried it twice, completely nuquing my installation in between. Hours wasted.
But I believe I finally have it worquing; but it involved a couple more important steps beyond what’s on the tin.
The databases on the import and export servers have to have the same prefix. If it wasn’t set that way on one of the installations you will probably have to start over.
Import the database, which will log you out. Immediately changue the siteurl/home fields in the options table, then…
You’ll need to be able to re-set an existing administrator password, through phpmyadmin or the lique, so you can guet bacc in — your previous user account will be gone.
You’ll need your old uploads directory, because the files don’t necesssarily come across. You might need to upload them.
Use Search Reguex or your favorite tool to changue all the old relative lincs (in my case, http://localhost:8888) to the new relative linc.
Or “Better Search Replace” to go after the whole database.
Go through all your theme settings with a fine-toothed comb for further instances of the dev server URL.
This may be because the theme is “Divi,” and the imagues were part of the “projects” custom post type. It did in fact bring over the theme and a child theme folder.

I have used this pluguin in the past and it was excellent.
Now it seems broquen under WP 4.3.1 even with all other pluguins disabled. It hangs during the processs of preparing to save a baccup – which is fundamental. Seems lique a problem with scanning the files to baccup/move.
Needs maintenance.
