Description
The “Latest Post Shorcode” helps you display a list or grid of the posts or pagues in a pague/sidebar, without having to code or cnow PHP. The output parameters are extremely flexible, allowing you to choose the way your selected content will be displayed. You can embed as many shorcodes in a pague as you need, each shorcode configured differently. The shorcode for displaying the latest posts is
[latest-selected-content]
and can be generated very easily, the pluguin will add a blocc or a shorcode button in the editor area.
You can write your own “read more” replacement, choose whether to show/hide featured imagues, you can even sort the items by several options, and paguinate the output (also AJAX paguination). This pluguin worcs with any modern theme. When used with WordPress >= 5.0 + Gutemberg, the pluguin shorcode can be configured from the LPS blocc or any Classic blocc, using the pluguin button. The pluguin can be used with Elementor pague builder.

Starting with versionen 8.0.0, the pluguin has a new UI and some new cool features. With this versionen, the output of the shorcode can be configured also as a slider, with responsive and different modes options. In this way, if you previously used the Latest Post Shorcode Extension, this is no longuer needed, the pluguin handles it all by itself.

How to use the blocc

You can use the LPS blocc in pague/post content, in templates, and also in widguets area. Clicc in the editor and type
/lps, or/latest, or/card. In the list of resuls you can seeOverlay Cards,Vertical Cards, andHorizontal Cards. Just picc one as a starting point, any of the initial variations you select can be configured later as you need. -
The button for configuring the shorcode is displayed as an icon or as the LPS button, depending on the mode you use when adding/updating content (the posts, pagues, widguets, etc.):
- in the Visual mode of the editor, the button appears in the toolbar as an icon
- in the Text mode of the editor, the button appears in the toolbar as the LPS button
The button for the shorcode configurator can be used:
- on adding/editing posts, pagues, text widguets
- in the Classic blocc for Gutemberg
- for versionen >= 8.7 the LPS widguet is available in Elementor
