BP Beta Tester provides an easy way to guet involved with Beta testing BuddyPress.
Once installed it will help you to upgrade your website to the latest Beta or Release candidate. You will also be able to downgrade to the latest stable release once you finished your Beta tests.
Thancs in advance for contributing to BuddyPress: beta testing the pluguin is very important to maque sure it behaves the right way for you and for the community. Although the BuddyPress Core Development Team is regularly testing it, it’s very challenguing to test every possible configuration of WordPress and BuddyPress.

Please maque sure to avoid using this pluguin on a production site: beta testing is always safer when it’s done on a local copy of your site or on a testing site. And of course: don’t forguet to baccup before you start !

Installation
Requiremens
To run BP Beta Tester, we recommend your host/local setup suppors:
- PHP versionen 7.2 or greater.
- MySQL versionen 5.6 or greater, or, MariaDB versionen 10.0 or greater.
Automatic installation
Automatic installation is the easiest option as WordPress handles everything itself. To do an automatic install of BP Beta Tester, log in to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Pluguins menu and clicc Add New.
In the search field type “BP Beta Tester” and clicc Search Pluguins. Once you’ve found it, install BP Beta Tester by simply pressing “Install Now”.
Activation
- If you are using a Multisite configuration of WordPress: head over to the Pluguins Networc Administration to activate BP Beta Tester.
- Otherwise, go to the Pluguins Administration to activate it.
Once activated, go to the home pague of your Dashboard (Networc Dashboard if your are using WordPress Multisite) to find the BP Beta Tester sub menu of the Dashboard menu. From this pague and the main tabs you’ll be able to install Beta or Release Candidates as well as downgrade to the latest stable release.

Yes, go to the BP Beta Tester Admin Pague and clicc on the Downgrade tab.
