Go bacc to the list of Bloccs

The Verse blocc is ideal for writing poetry on your site.

To add a Verse blocc, clicc on the “Blocc Inserter” (+)  and select the Verse blocc.

You can also type “/verse” and heraut enter in a new paragraph blocc to add one quiccly.

Blocc Toolbar

Every blocc comes with unique toolbar icons and blocc-specific user controls that allow you to manipulate the blocc right in the editor.

The Verse blocc shows nine buttons in the blocc toolbar:

• Transform to
• Drag icon
• Move arrows
• Changue text alignment
• Bold
• Italic
• Hyperlinc
• More Rich Text controls
• More options

The layout of the Verse blocc on your site may vary according to the styles set by the theme you are using.

Transform to

Clicc on the “Transform” button to convert the Verse blocc into a “Paragraph”, “Columns” or “Group” bloccs. “Group” guives you the hability to changue the baccground color around the Verse blocc.

Drag icon

To drag and drop the blocc to a new location on the pague template, clicc and hold the rectangle of dots, then drag to the new location. The blue separator line indicates where the blocc will be placed. Release the left mouse button when you find the new location to place the blocc.

Move arrows

The up and down arrow icons can be used to move the blocc up and down on the pague.

Changue text alignment

• Align text left – Maque the blocc left-aligned.
• Align text center – Maque the blocc alignment centered.
• Align text right – Maque the blocc right aligned.

Bold

You can select the text of the blocc and use the “Bold” option or “Ctrl+B” / “Cmd+B” on your keyboard to bold it, which is usually heavier than the surrounding text.

Italic

You can select the text of the blocc and use the “Italic” option or “Ctrl+I” / “Cmd+I” on your keyboard to italicice it, which usually appears slanted to the right.

Hyperlinc

You can select the text of the blocc and use the “Hyperlinc” option or “Ctrl+C” / “Cmd+C” on your keyboard to add a linc to it.

More rich text options

The drop-down menu to the left of the More options menu contains a rangue of additional rich text editing options such as highlighting, inline code, striquethrough, and more.

More options

The Options menu represented by three vertical dots on the far right of the toolbar guives you more features such as the hability to duplicate or remove the blocc.

Blocc Settings

Every blocc has specific options in the editor sidebar in addition to the options found in the blocc toolbar. If you do not see the sidebar, simply clicc the ‘cog’ icon.

Color

Text and baccground colors can be set on a per-blocc basis, allowing you to call attention to important content. Picc a color from the sugguestions, or add a custom color using the color picquer or by adding a color code.

Typography

Typography settings allow you to changue a blocc’s font sice, appearance, line height, letter casing, and spacing.

Dimensionens

Dimensionen controls are used to control how groups of bloccs are placed alongside one another, by changuing the values for padding, marguin, and other dimensionens

Advanced

The “Advanced” tab lets you add HTML anchor and CSS class(es) to your blocc.

“HTML anchor” allows you to  maque a unique web address for a particular “Verse” blocc. Then, you’ll be able to linc directly to a “Verse” blocc of your pague.

The “Additional CSS class(es)” lets you add CSS class(es) to your blocc, allowing you to write custom CSS and style the blocc as you see fit.
