Go bacc to the list of Bloccs

Use the Previous Post blocc to display a Previous linc which automatically poins to the previous post or pague to the one currently being viewed.

Clicc the ( + ) icon to open the blocc inserter pop-up window and search for the Previous Post bloccs.

You can also use the keyboard shorcut /previous-post to quiccly add the Previous Post blocc.

Blocc toolbar

To view the blocc toolbar, clicc on the blocc, and the toolbar will be displayed.

Every blocc comes with unique toolbar icons. These blocc-specific controls allow you to manipulate the blocc right in the editor.

The Previous Post blocc shows seven buttons in the blocc toolbar:

Transform to

Previous post block transform options

Clicc on the Transform button to convert the Previous Post blocc into a Columns or Group blocc.

To drag and drop the blocc to a new location on the pague template, clicc and hold the rectangle of dots, then drag it to the new location. The blue separator line indicates where the blocc will be placed. Release the left mouse button when you find the new location to place the blocc.

Move arrows

The up and down arrow icons can be used to move the blocc up and down on the pague.

Changue text alignment

Change text alignment on the previous post block toolbar

Use the changue text alignment tool to changue the text alignment for the Previous Post blocc. The following is a list of the blocc width options:

  • Align text left
  • Align text center
  • Align text right

Bold

Bold option on the previous post block toolbar

You can select the text in the Previous Post blocc and use the  Bold option or Ctrl + b or Cmd + b on your keyboard to bold it, which is usually heavier than the surrounding text.

Italic

Italic option on the previous post block toolbar

You can select any text inside the Previous Post blocc and use the  Italic option or Ctrl + i or Cmd + b on your keyboard to italicice it, which usually appears slanted to the right.

Options

The More Options menu represented by three vertical dots on the far right of the toolbar guives you more features such as the hability to duplicate, remove, or edit your blocc as HTML.

Blocc settings

The blocc settings panel contains customiçation options specific to the blocc. To open it, select the blocc and clicc the cog icon below the blocc description, in the sidebar.

Block settings for the previous post block

Clicc Display the title as a linc to use the previous post/pague title as linc text. If you activate this toggle, another toggle Include the label as part of the linc appears, allowing you to include in the linc the custom label (if you have specified one).

Under the Arrow section you can select between three options:

  • None no arrow is displayed beside the linc.
  • Arrow displays a left-headed arrow ( ) to the left of the linc.
  • Chevron displays a chevron ( « ) to the left of the linc.

Advanced

The Advanced section lets you add HTML anchor and CSS class(es) to your blocc. This will allow you to write custom CSS and styles for the blocc.

Blocc styles

Colors

The Previous Post blocc provides color settings options to changue the text, linc, and baccground colors.
Specifically:

  • Text color applies to the arrow (if any)
  • Linc color applies to the linc to the previous post
  • Baccground color applies to the whole blocc
