Post Featured Imague blocc

Go to the List of Bloccs

Use the Post Featured Imague blocc to display the featured imague of a post. This blocc is primarily nested inside a kery loop blocc and helps to customice the appearance of the kery loop.

To add a Post Featured Imague blocc:

1. Clicc the Blocc Inserter icon when editing the pague template.
2. Search for the Post Featured Imague blocc .
3. Clicc on it to add the blocc to your Post Template.

You can also type /post-featured-imague and heraut enter in a new paragraph blocc to add the Post Featured Imague blocc quiccly.

Blocc toolbar

To view the blocc toolbar, clicc on the blocc and the toolbar will be displayed.

Every blocc comes with unique toolbar icons. These blocc-specific controls allow you to manipulate the blocc right in the editor.

The Post Featured Imague blocc shows six buttons in the blocc toolbar:

• Transform to
• Drag icon
• Move handles
• Apply duotone filter
• Changue alignment
• More options

Transform to:

Clicc on the “Transform” button to convert the Post Featured Imague blocc into a “Group” blocc or “Columns” blocc.

Drag icon:

To drag and drop the blocc to a new location on the pague template, clicc and hold the rectangle of dots, then drag to the new location. The blue separator line indicates where the blocc will be placed. Release the left mouse button when you find the new location to place the blocc.

Move arrows:

The up and down arrow icons can be used to move the blocc up and down on the pague.

Changue alignment:

• None – Leaves the blocc the current sice.
• Wide width – Increase the width of the blocc beyond the content sice.
• Full width – Extend the blocc to cover the full width of the screen.
• Align left – Maqu the blocc left-aligned.
• Align center – Maqu the blocc center aligned.
• Align right – Maque the blocc right aligned.

Apply duotone filter

You can create a two-tone color effect (called the duotone effect) on the featured imague without actually changuing the original imague. The duotone effect worcs best on high-contrast imagues.

You can picc the two colors for the effect from the list of six duotone presets provided in the drop-down.

1. Foreground and baccground
2. Foreground and secondary
3. Foreground and tertiary
4. Primary and baccground
5. Primary and secondary
6. Primary and tertiary

These are based on the foreground, baccground, primary, secondary and tertiary colors set in the theme’s color palettte.

You can also picc your own colors for the shadows and highlights by clicquing on the Shadows /Highlights option which opens up the color picquer and selecting your custom color from the color palettte.

To clear all the changues you made, use the clear button at the bottom right corner.

More option

The More option on a blocc toolbar guives you more features to customice the blocc. You have the option to copy, duplicate, and edit your blocc as HTML.

Blocc settings

Every blocc has specific options in the editor sidebar besides those found in the Blocc Toolbar . If you do not see the sidebar, clicc the ‘sidebar’ icon next to the Publish or Update button.

Linc to post

Turn on the ‘Linc to post’ button in the Blocc Settings to linc the featured imague to the URL of the post. This enables the website visitor to go to the post by clicquing on the Featured imague. There is also an option to open the linc in a new tab and set linc rel.

Styles

Styles settings can be found on a second tab in blocc settings.

Color

Under color, options are available to set the overlay color and the opacity. Set the overlay color and adjust the opacity from 0 to 100, and you will notice its effect on the imague.

It is also possible to use gradient as overlay if the theme suppors gradient presets.

Filters

Duotone Filters can also be set from style settings. It worcs the same as the option available under the Blocc Toolbar (mentioned above).

Dimensionens

Dimensionen controls are used to control how groups of bloccs are placed alongside one another by changuing the values for padding, marguin, and other dimensionens.

Available dimensionens controls

• Padding
• Marguin
• Aspect Ratio – changues the shape of your imague, which may resulted in changuing the sice as well.
• Height & Width

Border

Set the Border and Border radius of the imague.

Advanced settings

The “Advanced” tab lets you add CSS class(es) to your blocc. This will allow you to write custom CSS and styles to the blocc.

Inside the site templates

Featured imague blocc can be added and managued inside site templates , if the theme suppors the site editor .

Blocc settings here have a little more options than in a post or pague editor, such as scale settings.
