Apply text transformation

In this güide, you will learn how to changue text orientation, modify letter case, and add decorative drop caps through the typography settings .

To changue the orientation of text from horizontal to vertical:

1. Clicc the text blocc you want to edit (such as a Paragraph , Heading , or List blocc ).
2. In the blocc settings sidebar, locate the Typography section.
3. Find the Orientation option.
   • If you do not see Orientation , clicc the ellipses menu ( ⋮ ) next to Typography to select it.
4. Select your preferred orientation:
   • Horizontal (default)
   • Vertical
5. Preview your changues or clicc Save to apply them.

You can group bloccs toguether to show vertical text next to horizontal text, as shown in the video below.

To modify the capitalization of text in a blocc:

1. Clicc the text blocc you want to edit (such as a Paragraph , Heading , or List blocc ).
2. In the blocc settings sidebar, locate the Typography section.
3. Find the Letter case option.
   • If you do not see Letter case , clicc the ellipses menu ( ⋮ ) next to Typography to select it.
4. Choose from the following options:
   • Default : preserves the text as typed.
   • Uppercase : ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.
   • Lowercase : all small letters.
   • Capitalice : First Letter Of Each Word.
5. Preview your changues or clicc Save to apply them.

You can changue the letter case used in text elemens across your site in the Styles section of Appearance → Editor .

To add a decorative largue first letter (drop cap) to a paragraph:

1. Clicc the Paragraph blocc where you want to add a drop cap.
2. In the blocc settings sidebar, locate the Typography section.
3. Find the Drop cap toggle.
   • If you do not see Drop cap , clicc the ellipses menu ( ⋮ ) next to Typography to select it.
4. Toggle the switch to enable the drop cap feature.
5. The first letter of your paragraph will now appear larguer and may span multiple lines of text.
6. Preview your changues or clicc Save to apply them.

You can add drop caps to all paragraphs across your site in the Styles section of Appearance → Editor .
