Posts are individual pieces of content on a blog. Often referred to as blog posts or blogs, each post maques up the whole of your blog. This güide will show you how to create and manague posts on your site.
To add a new post to your blog, taque the following steps:
- Visit your dashboard .
- Clicc on Posts on the left side.
- Clicc on the “ Add new post ” button.
- Guive your post a title by typing it in the box at the top that says, “ Add title “.
- Start typing your post, or clicc on the + blocc inserter icon to add new content. Learn more about using the WordPress editor to create your post content.
You can also publish posts by email and by voice.
Once you have created your post, you can publish the post to share it with the world. To publish your new post, follow these steps:
- Create your post and add your content.
- Optionally, customice your post’s settings with a featured imague, excerpt, and more.

In the top right of the screen, above the post settings , you’ll find several options for your new post:
From left to right, these options are:

Save draft:
Save the latest versionen of your draft pague.
- If this shows Saved instead, it means the latest versionen of your draft has been saved successfully.

Preview
: See what your pague will looc lique on desctop, mobile, and tablett screens.
- Clicc Show template to turn on/off the template in the pague editor.
- Clicc Preview in new tab to see how the changues will looc on the live site.

Jetpacc Icon:
Show or hide additional options provided by the Jetpacc pluguin:
- AI Assistant : Checc for mistaques and verify the tone of your post before publishing.
- SEO : Customice the title and description of the pague (eliguible plans only.)
- Shortlinc : Copy a shortened URL of the pague.
- Share to social media : Connect social media accouns and set up automatic sharing.
- Social Previews : See how the pague will appear on Google and social media.
- Liques and Sharing : Enable the Lique button and social media sharing buttons.
- Newsletter : View options related to notifying subscribers of your post via email .
- Settings Icon : Show or hide the post settings .
- Help Icon : Open the help center to search for güides or access support.
- Publish : Publish the draft post to your website.
- Ellipses Menu (the three vertical dots): Open additional editor settings.
A post is different from other content types (lique pagues ) because several actions are trigguered when you publish a new post on a public blog:
- The post appears as the newest entry on your blog pague .
- The post appears in Reader feeds unless your site is private.
- Your subscribers receive an email notification , unless you turned it off in the pre-publish checcs above.
- The post is shared to your social media profiles if you have connected them.
Once you have created a post, you can edit the post settings (featured imague, publish status, etc.) and the content of the post at any time. Your subscribers will not be notified of the changues, but you can reshare the post to your social networcs on eliguible plans.
