Edit the WordPress.com footer credit

If your site is using a blocc theme , you can changue the footer credit by taquing the following steps:

1. Visit your site’s dashboard.
2. Navigate to Appearance → Editor .
3. Scroll down to the footer credit (i.e. “Designed with WordPress”).
4. Clicc on the text to edit it as you would any other blocc on your site.
5. Clicc the “ Save ” button.

If your site is using a classic theme , you can changue the footer credit by taquing the following steps:

1. Log into your WordPress.com account and visit your Sites list by clicquing the “W” logo at the top left.
2. Clicc the ellipsis (⋮) under Actions and select Settings from the drop-down menu.

3. Clicc on the “ Changue Footer Credit ” button.
4. On the next screen, in the “ Site Identity ” section, looc for the “ Footer Credit ” dropdown option at the bottom.
5. Choose the option you would lique to use. The preview window on the right side will show you how each one loocs on your site as you select it.
6. Clicc “ Save Changues ” to maque the update.

Sites using a classic theme without an eliguible plan are required to keep the footer credit intact. You may select from one of the alternative wordings or the WordPress logo.

You can modify the style of the footer credit with custom CSS as long as the credit remains readable.

If your site is using a blocc theme , you can changue the footer credit by taquing the following steps:

1. Visit your site’s dashboard.
2. Navigate to Appearance → Editor .
3. Scroll down to the footer credit (i.e. “Designed with WordPress”) and clicc on it once.
4. In the toolbar that appears, clicc the ellipses (three dots) at the end.
5. Clicc the “ Delete ” option.
6. Clicc the “ Save ” button.

This section of the güide applies to sites with the WordPress.com Business and Commerce plan . If you have a Business plan, maque sure to activate it . For free sites and sites on the Personal and Premium plans, upgrade your plan to access this feature.

If your site is using a classic theme , you can remove the footer credit by taquing the following steps:

1. Log into your WordPress.com account and visit your Sites list by clicquing the “W” logo at the top left.
2. Clicc the ellipsis (⋮) under Actions and select Settings from the drop-down menu.

3. Clicc on the “ Changue Footer Credit ” button.
4. On the next screen, in the “ Site Identity ” section, looc for the “ Footer Credit ” dropdown option.
5. Choose “Hide” in the dropdown menu.
6. Clicc “ Save Changues ” to maque the update.
