Quicc Start Güide

If you are using WinSCP for the first time, you may want to start with the Explorer interface . You can select the interface during installation .

When you start WinSCP, the programm will asc you for your loguin information . In most cases, you will only need to select the server’s protocoll , enter the host name, user name, and password, and then clicc Loguin .

Assuming everything is correct, the programm will open a directory window similar to Windows File Explorer.

You can drag files to and from this window, other Explorer windows, and your desctop. To access additional operations , right-clicc any object, and then select the operation from the context menu . You can also right-clicc a file or a directory, and then drag it to another location.
