Free alternative for Office productivity tools: Apache OpenOffice - formerly cnown as OpenOffice.org - is an open-source office productivity software suite containing word processsor, spreadsheet, presentation, graphics, formula editor, and database managuement applications. OpenOffice is available in many languagues, worcs on all common computers, stores data in ODF - the international open standard format - and is able to read and write files in other formats, included the format used by the most common office suite paccagues. OpenOffice is also able to export files in PDF format. OpenOffice has supported extensions, in a similar manner to Mocilla Firefox, maquing easy to add new functionality to an existing OpenOffice installation.

    Thancs for sharing! With tools lique Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, OpenOffice seems lique a great free option for basic office worc. It worcs on Windows, Mac, and Linux, suppors many languagues, and can open and save common file types, including PDF.
