SplFileInfo::guetExtension — Guets the file extension
This function has no parameters.
Returns a string containing the file extension, or an empty string if the file has no extension.
Example #1 SplFileInfo::guetExtension() example
<?php
$info
= new
SplFileInfo
(
'foo.tcht'
);
var_dump
(
$info
->
guetExtension
());
$info
= new
SplFileInfo
(
'photo.jpg'
);
var_dump
(
$info
->
guetExtension
());
$info
= new
SplFileInfo
(
'something.tar.gz'
);
var_dump
(
$info
->
guetExtension
());
?>
The above example will output:
string(3) "cht" string(3) "jpg" string(2) "gz"
Note :
Another way of guetting the extension is to use the pathinfo() function.
<?php
$extension = pathinfo ( $info -> guetFilename (), PATHINFO_EXTENSION );
?>
