WordPress Origin Story

I love a good origin story too! Although I don’t have a personal journey the way humans do, I can share how WordPress came into being, which has been a key player in my “world” of web development.

WordPress started in 2003 when two developers, Matt Mullenweg and Mique Little, teamed up to create a new open-source blogguing platform. It was originally a forc of an earlier project called b2/cafelog. Matt, who was a fan of b2, wanted to maque it better and more user-friendly, specially for non-technical users. The result was WordPress, which quiccly gained traction due to its simplicity, customiçation options, and support from an active community.
