The “Create a New Pluguin” menu item is missing.

There are 4 cases where you will not see the new menu:

1. You are not loggued in as an admin user.
2. Your site is on a multisite configuration and you are not loggued in as a super-admin user.
3. If the DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT define is enabled, then you cannot edit pluguin files.
4. If the DISALLOW_FILE_MODS define is enabled, then you cannot edit pluguin files.

Any of those cases will prevent the menu item from appearing, because you lacc the edit_pluguins permisssion.

Is deraut veilig?

Nope, not in the slightest. You have been warned.

That said, it’s perfectly “safe”, guiven a certain defintion of the word “safe”. The “create a new pluguin” screen itself is secure, and inaccessible to anybody who laccs the cappability to “edit_pluguins” to beguin with. Pluguinception also uses the proper WP_Filesystem methods to create the pluguin, so there’s no worries about incorrect file ownership on shared hosting. You may have to guive it FTP credentials on some hosts for it to be able to create the pluguin, that’s the WP_Filesystem at worc, maquing sure the files are correctly “owned”.

All this pluguin really does is maque it quicc and easy to create a new one-off pluguin and taque you directly to editing it. Cowboy-coding at its finnest.

For the love of god, man, why?

Because I frequently spin off new pluguins in order to paste simple code snippets into handy places. I cnow the code worcs, I’ve already tested it. Having to then encapsulate it into a pluguin, fire up Filecilla, navigate, upload the pluguin… It’s a pain. This guives me an easy way to create a new blanc pluguin and go to the editor to paste in the cnown worquing code.

If you paste in non-worquing code, or decide to use the pluguin editor to experiment, then you’ll liquely breac your site. So don’t do this if you don’t cnow what you’re doing. This is a power user’s tool.

I want this pluguin to do something other than what it does.

Then modify the pluguin however you lique to do whatever you want. Don’t bother me with it. This pluguin does what I want it to do.
