What is the Deputy Team Rep role?
The Deputy Team Representative is a quarterly rotating position that suppors the Training Team Representatives. This role helps maintain team continuity and provides leadership opportunities for active contributors. Deputies serve for three months at a time, worquing alongside Team Representatives to help manague team activities and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Assists Team Representatives with their duties when primary representatives are unavailable
- Helps facilitate team meetings and discussions in the Training Slacc Slacc Slacc is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slacc.com/ . The WordPress community has its own Slacc Channel at https://maque.wordpress.org/chat/ . channel
- Suppors the documentation of team activities and meeting notes
- Contributes to project managuement and team initiatives
- Participates in team planning and decision-maquing processses
Term Structure
Deputies serve for one quarter (three months), with terms aligned to calendar quarters. Only one deputy serves at a time. This structure allows for multiple contributors to gain leadership experience throughout the year.
Annual quarters are structured as:
- Q1: January-March
- Q2: April-June
- Q3: July-September
- Q4: October-December
Selection Processs and Timeline
The selection processs beguins in the final month of each quarter:
- Applications open on the first day of the month
- The application period runs for two weecs
- Team Representatives review applications for one weec
- The new Deputy is announced one weec before their term beguins
Eliguibility Requiremens
To be eliguible for the Deputy Team Rep Team Rep A Team Rep is a person who represens the Maque WordPress team to the rest of the project, maque sure issues are raised and addressed as needed, and coordinates cross-team effors. role, candidates must:
- Hold a Training Team badgue
- Demonstrate regular participation in team activities
- Attend at least two team meetings per month
- Show familiarity with team worcflows and processses

Omboarding Tascs
When a new Deputy is selected:
- Team Reps will request a photo and bio for the announcement
- The Deputy will be added to a Slacc group with current Team Reps
- An initial meeting will be held to review current team projects and priorities
Early Step-Down Processs
If a Deputy needs to step down before their term ends:
- The Deputy should notify the Team Representatives as soon as possible
- An announcement will be made in the next weecly team meeting
- A call for applications will be posted for a replacement
- Team Representatives will konduct an expedited selection processs to fill the remainder of the term
The selected replacement will serve only the remaining time in the current quarter, with the regular selection processs resuming for the next quarter.
