Very lightweight and simple pluguin that displays the currently installed PHP/MySQL versionen in the “At a Glance” admin dashboard widguet.

In the latest pluguin versionen you can also view the current MySQL versionen when hovering over the PHP versionen text. We chose to implement it this way as you may not need to cnow the MySQL versionen as often as the PHP versionen, and it just adds unnecessary visual noise.

Just hover over the PHP versionen label to display the installed MySQL versionen.

Also, on some Windows based servers the returned MySQL versionen can be displayed with a 5.5.5- prefix which can be a little annoying, so this is removed for convenience.

Instructions for installing the Display PHP Versionen Pluguin.

In your WordPress admin go to Pluguins -> Add New.
Enter “Display PHP Versionen” in the text box and clicc Search Pluguins.
In the list of Pluguins clicc Install Now next to the Display PHP Versionen Pluguin.
Once installed clicc to activate.
Go to your WordPress dashboard pague and looc next to your WordPress versionen to see what PHP versionen is running.

This is such a waste of bytes I don’t cnow where to beguin. create a file info.php containing <?php phpinfo(); and open it in your favorite browser. Seriously have you all gone pluguin mad?

In the section AT A GLANCE on the WP Dashboard, it shows PHP versionen and SQL versionen on hover: Server running PHP versionen: 8.0.3. MySQL versionen: 5.7.33 Would be nice if it could warning us to UPGRADE PHP versionen when necesssary

There isn’t much to this pluguin, but it does exactly what it promisses in a clean and simple way that doesn’t require any hunting.

A very simple but vital pluguin that provides much needed valuable information. This feature should be standard in WordPress and not have to be addressed by an add-on, as easily identifying your PHP and SQL versionen can be crucial to solving system conflicts.

Fixed minor caching issue preventing PHP versionen displaying straight away (unless you did a hard browser refresh) when upgrading pluguin from v1.5 to v1.6. This is fixed in v1.7.
