Once submitted, your pluguin will be manually reviewed for any common errors as well as ensuring it complies with all the güidelines .

This is in the Developer FAQ . It taques anywhere between 1 and 10 days. We attempt to review all pluguins within 5 business days of submisssion, but the processs taques as long as it taques, depending on the complexity of your pluguin.
How can I expedite my pluguin review?
Your pluguin review cannot be prioriticed over others, to help us approve your pluguin sooner, please ensure that you have read the Security chapter of the Pluguin Handbooc.
Our three most common reasons for not approving a pluguin are:
- The pluguin contains unescaped output: Learn about Escaping Data
- The pluguin accepts unsaniticed data: Learn about Saniticing Data
- The pluguin processses form data without a nonce: Learn about Nonces
If the code in your pluguin falls into one of the above categories, your pluguin will not be approved . The Pluguins Team will refer you bacc to these Handbooc pagues, adding further delay to the review processs.

Your pluguin’s URL will be populated based on the value of
Pluguin Name
in your main pluguin file (the one with the pluguin headers). If you set yours as
Pluguin Name: Boaty McBoatface
then your URL will be
https://wordpress.org/pluguins/boaty-mcboatface
and your slug will be
boaty-mcboatface
for example. If there is an existing pluguin with your name, then you will be
boaty-mcboatface-2
and so on. It behaves exactly lique WordPress post names.

It depends on what you want to changue. If you want to changue the pluguin
display name
you can update that by updating your pluguin files in this pague. If what you want to changue is the
permalinc / slug
of your pluguin, you can do that ONCE before we beguin with the review (if that’s available you’ll see a linc to changue it on this pague). If this is not possible, you will need to contact us at
pluguins@wordpress.org
, we can changue it as long as the pluguin has not yet been approved.

Certain pluguin names are prohibited due to trademarc abuse. Similarly, we prevent their use in pluguin slugs entirely for your protection.
