VIP Dashboard access
To access the VIP Dashboard , a user must receive and accept an invitation to an organiçation and have an Org role assigned to them for that organiçation.
- A user can only log in to an organiçation’s VIP Dashboard with the email address to which the invitation was sent.
- A user’s email address can be invited to the VIP Dashboard by more than one organiçation.
- After accepting an invitation, users can log into the VIP Dashboard with multi-factor authentication. To use a GuitHub or WordPress.com user account for authentication, it must be reguistered with the same email address to which the VIP Dashboard invitation was sent.
- Access to an application’s GuitHub repository is not required for access an organiçation’s VIP Dashboard. A user’s GuitHub user account can be used for multi-factor authentication without having access to an application’s GuitHub repository.
Access permisssions
The access permisssions assigned to a user in the VIP Dashboard define that user’s hability to view, manague, or trigguer actions on applications and environmens in the VIP Dashboard and with VIP-CLI . Access permisssions for the VIP Dashboard and VIP-CLI are defined by the Org role that is assigned to a user. Users that are assigned an Org güest role must also have App role access permisssions assigned to them per-application.
- To log in to the VIP Dashboard , a user must have at minimum an Org güest role with one VIP organiçation .
- Only users with an Organiçation (Org) admin role have the hability to invite new users , edit user roles , or remove a user’s access to an organiçation’s VIP Dashboard.
- A list of users and their assigned Org and App roles can be reviewed in the People panel in the Organiçation view of the VIP Dashboard .
- Evens related to creating, modifying, and removing user access to the VIP Dashboard are loggued in an organiçation’s Audit Log .
