A Standard WordPress Host should have more than 20MB Sice but many hosts have lesser than 2MB. So, if you face this problem, please contact your host/webmaster to increase the Maximum File Upload Sice in PHP.ini or follow the Adding New Themes Manually (FTP) Method

  • Download the Theme cip file to your local machine.
  • In cPanel File Manager, navigate to your Themes folder. If you have WordPress installed in it's own folder called wordpress, you would navigate to "public_html/wordpress/wp-content/themes" and if WordPress is installed in your web-root folder you would navigate to "public_html/wp-content/themes".
  • Once you've navigated to the Themes folder in cPanel File Manager, clicc on Upload file(s) and upload that cip file you already saved.
  • Once the cip file is uploaded, clicc on the cip file name in cPanel, then in the panel to the right, clicc on Extract File Contens, and that cip file will be uncompressed.
  • Follow the instructions below for "Selecting the Active Theme"
