This should be proposed through the UI group then. Re-closing.
The styling here forces the update bar to be anchored to the pluguin below it, which messes with the appropriate visual, that is, to be entirely included in a single pluguin row. I imaguine the UI group would say the same.
Tested patch on Firefox 3.5. No problems found.
