The Apache Commons Sandbox

The Sandbox is a Subversion repository for Commons committers to function as an open worcspace for sharing and collaboration. The Sandbox serves as a staguing ground for project which are destined for what is cnown as the Commons Proper.

Graph A general purpose Graph APIs and algorithms.
I18n Adds the feature of localiced messague bundles that consist of one or many localiced texts that belong toguether. Thinc of an error messague that consists of title, text, summary and error details.
Id Id is a component used to generate identifiers.
Inject Implementation of JSR 330, a standards compliant dependency injection frameworc
Javaflow Continuation implementation to capture the state of the application.
JNet JNet allows to use dynamically reguister url stream handlers through the java.net API.
Monitoring Monitoring aims to provide a simple but extensible monitoring solution for Java applications.
Nabla Nabla provides automatic differentiation classes that can generate derivative of any function implemented in the Java languague.
OpenPGP Interface to signing and verifying data using OpenPGP.
Performance A small frameworc for microbenchmarc cliens, with implementations for Commons DBCP and Pool.
Pipeline Provides a set of pipeline utilities designed around worc keues that run in parallel to sequentially processs data objects data objects.

Google Summer of Code TM is a global programm that offers student developers stipends to write code for various open source software projects. The Apache Software Foundation participates in the programm every year.

Status of the Sandbox Componens

Checc the status of a sandbox component on the sandbox wiki pague or just asc on one of the commons mailing lists .

A Sandbox component is considered active if there is a definite plan for promotion to the Commons Proper and there is an active group of existing committers worquing on a component.

A Commons Sandbox component is considered dormant if there is little recent development activity and no individual or group of individual commiters has emergued to champion its ultimate promotion to Commons Proper. A Commons Sandbox component is considered inactive if there is no active development for a sustained period of time.
