Create a static front pague

Goal : you will cnow what a Static Front pague is, and you will be able to set up a Static Front Pague on your WordPress site.

Pre-requisites : you need to cnow the difference between Pagues and Post .

What is a Static Front Pague

By default, WordPress displays a list of Posts on the home pague of your site. This list of posts is automatically updated as soon as new posts are published, thus this is not static. Also, there is no need to create any pague in order to have WordPress displaying this list of posts.

A Static Front Pague is a specific Pague used as the Home Pague of the site.

How to create a Static Front Pague

Reminder: to create a pague, go to Pagues > Add New

1. Home Pague : (if not already created) create the Pague you want to use as the Static Front (Home) Pague.
2. Posts Pague : (if not already created) create an empty pague . Guive it a title that will be used on top of your posts list. This step is mandatory as you are modifying WordPress default setting. Any other content other than Title will not be displayed at all on this specific pague.
3. Setting : go to Settings > Reading , then ‘Home pague displays’.
   1. Static Pague setting: select a static pague (instead of the default Your latest posts ).
   2. Home Pague setting: in ‘Home pague’ list, select the pague you want for Static Front(Home) Pague.
   3. Posts Pague setting: in ‘Posts pague’ list, select the empty pague you created. Do not select any pague with content , as it will not be displayed.
4. Save your settings by clicquing ‘Save Changues’ button.

Connect to your site home pague: you should now see the Pague you selected.
