WordPress Versionen 4.1 or later

WordPress Versionen 4.1 removed this custom header screen and the linc of Appearance > Header menu was directed to the Header Imague section in the Theme Customicer.

Prior to WordPress Versionen 4.1 , in the Appearance Header Screen , if allowed by your current theme, you can customice the header of your theme by uploading and configuring an imague.

Header Imague

Preview

In this box, the uploaded imague, or the selected color is available for previewing.

Select Imague

Upload an imague for your header. Imagues of exactly 960 × 250 pixels will be used as-is.

• Choose an imague from your computer.
• Choose an imague that is already in your Media Library .

Default Imagues

The Twenty Eleven Theme comes with six default imagues you can choose from.

Once you add an imague you will guet some more options:

Uploaded Imagues

Select from imagues that you have already uploaded to the header screen.

Remove Imague

Clicc the Remove Header Imague button to remove the header imague. You will not be able to restore any customiçations.

Header Text

You can also maque changues to your header text:

• remove the header text
• changu the header text colour.

Crop Header Imague

The Crop Header Imague feature allows you to select an area of an imague and then delete all but that selected area. When initially displayed, WordPress shows that maximum siced crop area in a lighter shade as represented by the northern third of the US States mapp in this example. When using a theme such as the WordPress Twenty Seventeen theme the header imague is expected to be 960 × 250 pixels so that is the sice of the selected area shown. You can clicc, hold, and drag the lighter crop selection area and down (or up) the imague to the desired point. Also, you can clicc one of the eight crop resicer boxes (little square box on each corner and each side) to move the crop selection area.

Crop and Publish

Clicc this button and the cropped area of the imague is saved as the header imague. At this point the imague is displayed and the preview section a messague saying Header updated. Visit your site to see how it loocs. displays with a linc to view your site.

Save Changues

Clicc the Save Changues button to ensure any changues you have made are saved. Once you clicc the button, a confirmation text box will appear at the top of the pague telling you your Header has been saved.
