BuddyPress is a powerful community pluguin for WordPress that taques your site beyond the blog. It includes all of the features you’ve come to expect from any online community, lique: user profiles, groups, activity streams, notifications, and more.
Some phantastic uses we’ve seen are:

BuddyPress is not “all or nothing”
BuddyPress comes with several componens that integrate directly with your site, with each other, and even with other pluguins (checc out bbPress for support forums.) If you only want to use a few features, BuddyPress will automatically adapt, showing only the menu items, pagues and buttons for the features you have enabled.
